The Beats That Shaped Voguing

How did music influence Voguing and the Ballroom Culture - and to what extent did Voguing inspire DJ's and producers? To answer this question the music panel will guide us through the evolution of "ballroom beats" - from disco breaks to house music to the "Ha-tracks", which play a major part of the vogue fem style. The panel will be held in the framework of  Berlin Voguing Out's 5th Anniversary.

Guests: Ballroom DJ and producer Vjuan Allure, the most noted Ballroom-MC Jack Mizrahi and Archie Burnett - Grandfather of the Legendary House of Ninja. And our guest of honor: George Kranz, a musician based in Berlin, whose percussive crossover hit "Din Daa Daa" (1983) made it's mark as one of the most important beats in the New York ballroom scene and since then it was sampled and covered countless times. Last but not least Jan Kedves (SZ), the music journalist from Berlin, will moderate the music panel.

The event will be followed by an After Party with Vjuan Allure and House of Shade behind the decks.

Admission 8 € / Tickets only at the door - space is limited - first come, first served
